SENATOR ANDREW LANZA TO HOST MOBILE LEGAL HELP CENTER - FREE CIVIL LEGAL SERVICE APPOINTMENTS FOR STATEN ISLANDERS

In last year’s state budget Senator Andrew Lanza helped to secure funding for a Mobile Legal Help Center which will which will be available to Staten Islanders on Monday, April 23rd from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at his office located at 3845 Richmond Avenue.

The Mobile Legal Help Center is a partnership between the New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) and the New York State Courts' Access to Justice Program that provides free civil legal services to New Yorkers in need. Private meeting rooms and technology inside the vehicle enable it to function as a full-service office.

Lawyers onboard the Mobile Legal Help Center will provide FREE legal assistance on issues related to:

CONSUMER PROTECTION
Creditor Harassment
Identity Theft
Collection Actions
Debt Management
Bankruptcy

FAMILY LAW
Help for victims of domestic violence
Orders of Protection
Safety planning
Contested and uncontested divorces
Custody
Visitation
Equitable distribution
Child/spousal support
