Senator Robert Jackson Hosts District 31 Civil Service Career Fair

In response to labor shortages across public service industries, with 12,500 vacancies currently, this event aims to eliminate barriers, attract diverse candidates, and retain an experienced workforce. Senator Robert Jackson, as the Chair of the New York State Civil Service & Pension Committee, is dedicated to bolstering the public service sector in New York State.

The senator is collaborating with the Department of Civil Service, unions, and education stakeholders to bring you this event. Attendees can expect information on civil service examination schedules, pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs, and career preparation opportunities. They will leave with tangible benefits to fuel their civil service aspirations.
