   printed to be committed to the Committee on Agriculture
 
 AN ACT to amend the agriculture and  markets  law,  in  relation  to  an
   online farm portal to advertise farm employment opportunities
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Section 16 of the agriculture and markets law is amended by
 adding a new subdivision 52 to read as follows:
   52. ESTABLISH AND ADMINISTER, IN COORDINATION WITH THE  DEPARTMENT  OF
 LABOR, AN ONLINE FARM EMPLOYMENT PORTAL. SUCH PORTAL SHALL BE A LOCATION
 FOR  FARMERS  TO  ADVERTISE  EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND FOR PERSONS TO
 APPLY FOR SUCH EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES. THE DEPARTMENT, IN COORDINATION
 WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR AND  ANY  OTHER  APPROPRIATE  ENTITIES  AND
 ASSOCIATIONS,  SHALL  ADVERTISE  THE EXISTENCE AND USE OF SUCH PORTAL TO
 FARMERS IN THE STATE, AND SHALL PROVIDE ASSISTANCE TO ANY  FARMER  USING
 SUCH PORTAL. THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ALSO POST A LINK TO SUCH PORTAL ON ITS
 WEBSITE.
   §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall
 have become a law.
