Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) announced that he has secured state funding for technology improvements at the North Bellmore Library.

The Library will use the funding to purchase four iPads and a Crayon Kiosk for use by children in preschool through the early elementary grades. Children use the iPads, which are situated in the Crayon Kiosk, to play preloaded educational apps which teach them about subjects such as math, science, reading, writing, and problem solving.

“Using this type of interactive educational technology helps children develop an excitement and enjoyment of learning. These funds will allow the North Bellmore Library to offer these important services to families in the North Bellmore community,” said Senator Fuschillo.

"We are very excited to be able to provide another wonderful service to our patrons. We are very confident that the many young patrons who use the Library will find hours of enjoyment using our new Crayon Kiosk. I, on behalf of the Library's Board of Trustees and staff, would like to thank Senator Fuschillo for his very generous donation to our Library," said Thomas Bazzicalupo, Director of the North Bellmore Library.
