Senator Nozzolio Welcomes State Champions South Seneca Girls Varsity Basketball Team to The State Capitol

Senator Mike Nozzolio welcomes the South Seneca Girls Varsity Basketball Team

 to the State Capitol

 

New York State Senator Mike Nozzolio proudly welcomed members and coaches of the South Seneca Girls Varsity Basketball Team to the State Capitol yesterday. Members of the team and their coaches were special guests of Senator Nozzolio and Assemblyman Phil Palmesano who congratulated the team for their hard work, perseverance and teamwork in winning the New York State Class C Championship.


Senator Nozzolio presented each team member and their coaches with a special trophy and formal New York State Resolution that was enacted in the State Senate to honor their tremendous accomplishments as State Champions. The athletes also enjoyed a tour of the State Museum, the Capitol and visited Senator Nozzolio’s legislative office.


“From the opening game of the season to capturing the State Championship, the South Seneca Girls Varsity Basketball team has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability, teamwork, good sportsmanship and dedication,” said Senator Nozzolio. “These exceptional athletes have made a contribution to the spirit of excellence that is tradition at South Seneca High School.”

 

The team was joined by Coach Heather Mott and Assistant Coach Bob Mott.
