David Mann named to the NYS Senate Veterans Hall of Fame

Mr. David Mann, a United States Army veteran, was named to the NYS Senate’s Veterans Hall of Fame as NYS Senator Dean Murray’s nominee.  Senator Murray acknowledged his service by honoring Mr. Mann at the VFW Post 2913’s general meeting in Patchogue, NY.

(East Patchogue, NY) – Mr. David Mann, a United States Army veteran, was named to the NYS Senate’s Veterans Hall of Fame as NYS Senator Dean Murray’s nominee.  Senator Murray acknowledged his service by honoring Mr. Mann at the VFW Post 2913’s general meeting in Patchogue, NY.

     Mr.  Mann served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1974 and retired with the rank of Sergeant.  He was a combat engineer in Vietnam and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts for missions in South Vietnam.  He was awarded three Army Commendations with “V” devices for heroism.  He was also presented with the Conspicuous Service Medal in 1985 from former Governor Mario Cuomo.

     “It was my privilege to honor Mr. Mann as my nominee to the NYS Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.  Mr. Mann and the men and women like him who served in our nation’s military services deserve our utmost respect.  I thank David Mann for his service to our country and protecting the rights and freedoms of the citizens of the United States of America,” said NYS Senator Dean Murray, 3rd Senate District.
