Environmental Conservation Committee Chairman Mark Grisanti (R, I-60) will be hosting an free electronics recycling collection event in the Town of Grand Island.
"As the Chairman of the New York State Senate Environmental Conservation Committee, we must dispose of our electronics both responsibly and safely. Last year in the Town of Tonawanda we were able to collect over 80,000 pounds of electronics. I hope the residents of Grand Island and the surrounding communities take advantage of this free opportunity to clean out their homes and dispose their old electronics safely," said Senator Mark Grisanti.
WHERE:
WHY:
Finding ways to properly dispose of unused or obsolete electronics can be very difficult. This results in the environmentally-unfriendly disposal of tons of electronics. This green alternative is not only convenient for those WNYers who have nowhere to turn to get rid of their unused electronics, but it is also a healthy option for our environment.
WHAT:
This Free electronics recycling drop off will provide professional disposal of items both large and small to ensure they do not end up harming the environment. People can bring items such as computer monitors, printers, fax machines, home phones, televisions, and video game consoles to dispose of properly. Load up the car and professionals will unload at site.
