Community Peace & Call to Action March

In light of the recent violent killings of teenagers in Far Rockaway, State Senator James Sanders Jr (D-Far Rockaway, Rochdale Village) will join other elected officials, community groups and anti-violence advocates for a Community Peace March and Call to Action Summit on Saturday, February 24, 2018. The march will take place from 11 a.m. - 12 noon starting at Beach 25th Street (Far Rockaway High School) and ending at Beach 57th Street at Beach Channel Drive.
The march will be followed by a Call to Action Summit from 12 noon - 4 p.m. at the Ocean Bay Community Center, located at 57-10 Beach Channel Drive in Far Rockaway.
This will include the following:

Neighborhood Watch Training Program
Male / Female Mentoring Program
After School / Teen / Adult Program Registration
Early Bird Information / Summer Camp
Seminars for Job and Career Development - Teen / Adult
Intergenerational Program Registration for Seniors and Youth
Together we can end youth violence, stop the killings and engage our youth. Now is the time to organize and reclaim our community.
