State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village) will be co-sponsoring a Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program along with Governor Andrew Cuomo, Queens Borough President Melinda Katz and Assembly Member Vivian Cook.
It will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Brooks Senior Center, 143-22 109th Avenue, Jamaica, NY 11435.
The two-hour presentation will give residents the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. Each participant will receive a certificate of completion and an emergency preparedness "to go" bag.
