Trump Elected President - How Did This Happen?

If you are like many Americans, you woke up this morning and viewed the presidential election results in disbelief. Donald Trump, a candidate whom many polls and political experts said had no chance of winning, had been elected to become the 45th President of the United States. What does this mean for our country?

State Senator James Sanders Jr. (D-Rochdale Village, D-Far Rockaway), State Senator Leroy Comrie and Assembly Member-Elect Clyde Vanel will host a post-election community meeting to discuss the road that led to this unexpected outcome. It will feature political and historical experts who will examine what roles, if any, race, gender and class played in the election of Donald Trump. This will also be an opportunity for community members to voice their opinions and concerns. We want to hear from you.

One of the featured panelists will be the Rev. Dr. Johnnie Green, Senior Pastor of Mount Neboh Baptist Church, and President and CEO of Mobilizing Preachers and Communities (MPAC).

To RSVP, or for more information, contact Senator Sanders' Office at 718-523-3069 or 718-327-7017.
