FREE Diabetes Information Session

Senator James Sanders Jr. will host a FREE Diabetes Informational Session as part of Diabetes Awareness Month. It will feature experts from area hospitals including Jamaica Hospital and St. Francis Hospital who will discuss the causes of diabetes, tips for healthy eating, a cooking demonstration by Cornell Cooperative Extension, a discussion of different types of medications and testing supplies and diabetic support groups. It will also feature a 30-minute Zumba class for seniors. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Rockaway Boulevard Senior Center, 123-10 143rd Street, South Ozone Park, NY 11436.
