Public Hearing: Cease and Desist Zone in East New York

Do you receive relentless call, visits, and notes on your door from real estate speculators offering to buy your home from you or your landlord?  Homeowners deserve to feel safe and secure in their homes, and live their lives free from harassment. Real estate speculators and developers are are harassing homeowners, buying up houses in our neighborhoods, and selling them at much high prices. This practice is driving out long-time residents, and driving up housing costs for owners and renters alike. Creating a Cease and Desist Zone in East New York will help end this harassment and slow displacement in our communities.
