Senator Kevin Thomas is partnering with the New York Blood Center to host a blood drive at Farmingdale Public Library on Tuesday, November 30, from 1:00pm to 7:00pm. All donors will receive a free blood donor t-shirt and be entered to win one of New York Blood Center's fall prize giveaways.
Eligible donors must have an ID with a signature or a photo, weigh at least 110 pounds, have had no tattoos in the last 12 months and be ages 16-75 years of age (16-year-old donors must have parental consent. Donors over age 76 must bring a doctor’s note.) O-negative and B-negative donors are especially needed in addition to all other blood types.
Donors attending should wear a face mask or covering regardless of vaccination status.
To make an appointment, please contact Debbie Medina at 516-739-1700, email dmedina@nysenate.gov, or visit https://donate.nybc.org/.../schedules/drive_schedule/298963. Walk-ins will be welcomed only if drive capacity permits.
For additional information on blood donation, contact the New York Blood Center at 1-800-933-2566.
