October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year in the United States nearly 300,000 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Screening and early detection are the best tools to prevent and treat breast cancer. Mammograms are a safe and effective way to detect breast cancer. A mammogram is an x-ray image of the breast that doctors use to detect early signs of breast cancer that may not be visible to the naked eye.
My office is delighted to partner with Stony Brook Medicine and the Central Islip Fire Department to provide FREE mammogram services on Wednesday, November 8th, from 9 am to 4 pm at the Central Islip Fire Department Parking Lot located at 97 Carleton Ave Central Islip, NY 11722.
