DenDEKKER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT in relation to exempting voluntary ambulance services from the payment of tolls THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the payment of tolls on any highway, bridge, tunnel or other toll road within this state shall not apply to a voluntary ambulance service oper- ating pursuant to a valid operating certificate as described in subdivi- sion 1 of section 3005 of the public health law while such vehicle is responding to an emergency or furnishing voluntary ambulance services. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05004-01-9
