SKARTADOS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to authorize the city of Newburgh to establish an administrative tribunal for the adjudication of parking infractions THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The city of Newburgh, acting through its governing body, is hereby authorized to establish an administrative tribunal for the adju- dication of parking infractions, subject to the provisions of article 2-B of the vehicle and traffic law. The city of Newburgh is in addition authorized to provide by local law for the appointment of hearing exam- iners for such administrative adjudications from a list of eligible candidates including, but not limited to, judges, magistrates or other officers within the city who have satisfied established standards, in accordance with the provisions of article 2-B of the vehicle and traffic law. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD05200-01-9
