BILL NUMBER: S206 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the private housing finance law, in relation to the definition of "probable aggregate income" PURPOSE : Provides that the resident of a co-op could deduct certain school expenses for a dependent child who is a full-time student from the probable aggregate income of the family. JUSTIFICATION : Many individuals residing in a co-op pay tremendous fees for children attending colleges in this state. These individuals are persons of limited income. This bill would grant them an exemption to the aggregate annual income, thereby slowing the rate of surcharge on an apartment. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS : None.
