BILL NUMBER: S7527 TITLE OF BILL : An act to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to fishing license fees in the county of Onondaga PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL : This bill will dedicate twenty percent of money collected from fishing licenses sold in Onondaga County to offset costs of the Carpenter's Brook fish hatchery. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS : Section one amends subdivision 4 of section 11-0702 of the environmental conservation law that relates to moneys collected from fishing licenses and deposited in the state fish and game trust account by allowing twenty percent of such monies to be used to offset costs of Carpenter's Brook fish hatchery. Section two amends subdivision 6 of section 11-0715 of the environmental conservation law by adding a new paragraph allowing twenty percent of the proceeds coming from the sale of fishing licenses paid by Onondaga county residents to be retained by Carpenter's Brook fish hatchery. VALESKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to fish- ing license fees in the county of Onondaga THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 4 of section 11-0702 of the environmental conservation law, as added by chapter 352 of the laws of 1987 and as renumbered by chapter 626 of the laws of 1988, is amended to read as follows: 4. All moneys collected from the sale of lifetime licenses shall be deposited in the state fish and game trust account pursuant to section eighty-three of the state finance law, EXCEPT THAT TWENTY PERCENT OF MONEYS COLLECTED FROM THE SALE OF LIFETIME FISHING LICENSES SOLD TO RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY OF ONONDAGA SHALL BE RETAINED AND EXPENDED TO OFFSET THE COSTS OF CARPENTER'S BROOK FISH HATCHERY. S 2. Subdivision 6 of section 11-0715 of the environmental conserva- tion law is amended by adding a new paragraph c to read as follows: C. TWENTY PERCENT OF THE GROSS PROCEEDS FROM SALE OF ALL FISHING LICENSES, INCLUDING ANY APPLICATION FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH FISHING LICENSES PAID BY RESIDENTS OF THE COUNTY OF ONONDAGA SHALL BE RETAINED AND EXPENDED TO OFFSET THE COSTS OF CARPENTER'S BROOK FISH HATCHERY.
