REILLY -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to extending the maximum length of vehicles THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subdivision 3 of section 385 of the vehi- cle and traffic law, as amended by chapter 173 of the laws of 1990, is amended to read as follows: (a) The length of a single vehicle, inclusive of load and bumpers, shall be not more than [forty] FORTY-FIVE feet unless otherwise provided in this subdivision. S 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
