WRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to the regulation of appearance enhancement businesses in the city of New York THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The opening paragraph of section 404 of the general busi- ness law is designated subdivision 1 and a new subdivision 2 is added to read as follows: 2. IN ADDITION TO THE PROVISIONS OF SUBDIVISION ONE OF THIS SECTION, ANY APPEARANCE ENHANCEMENT BUSINESS LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF NEW YORK SHALL BE MAINTAINED AND OPERATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CITY HEALTH CODE WHERE APPLICABLE. S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall have become a law, provided, however, that effective immediately the addition, amendment and/or repeal of any rule or regulation necessary for the timely implementation of this act upon its effective date are hereby authorized and directed to be made on or before such effective date.
