MORELLE, KOON, MAISEL -- read once and referred to the Committee on Libraries and Education Technology AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to providing monies to the Rochester public library for a continuity of service project THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 273 of the education law is amended by adding a new paragraph o to read as follows: O. IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER SUMS PROVIDED TO SUCH LIBRARY THE SUM OF FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS SHALL BE MADE AVAILABLE TO THE ROCHESTER PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR A CONTINUITY OF SERVICE PROJECT APPROVED BY THE COMMISSIONER FOR EACH CALENDAR YEAR. S 2. This act shall take effect April 1, 2010. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD04128-01-9
