JOHN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions AN ACT to amend the not-for-profit corporation law, in relation to the penalty for crematory operations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 1517 of the not-for-profit corporation law is amended by adding a new paragraph (k) to read as follows: (K) WHENEVER A PERSON VIOLATES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, SUCH PERSON SHALL BE DEEMED GUILTY OF A CLASS E FELONY. S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after it shall have become a law.
