REILICH -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Consumer Affairs and Protection AN ACT to amend the general business law, in relation to the unsolicited sending of blank checks by issuers of credit cards THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 520 of the general business law is amended by adding a new subdivision 10 to read as follows: (10) NO ISSUER OF A CREDIT CARD SHALL SEND UNSOLICITED, BLANK CHECKS TO A CARD MEMBER RESIDING IN NEW YORK STATE. S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
