DIAZ, FARRELL, GLICK, LIFTON, LUPARDO, PHEFFER, SWEENEY, TOWNS -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to the designation of polling places THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 4-104 of the election law is amended by adding a new subdivision 5-a to read as follows: 5-A. WHENEVER THE MAJORITY OF VOTERS ELIGIBLE TO VOTE IN AN ELECTION DISTRICT RESIDE ON A COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY CAMPUS, THE POLLING PLACE DESIGNATED FOR ANY SUCH DISTRICT SHALL BE ON THAT CAMPUS. S 2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed- ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
