BRADLEY, CLARK, COLTON, GALEF, HOYT, MAYERSOHN, PHEFFER, WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to the sale of DEET THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 33-1301 of the environmental conservation law is amended by adding a new paragraph f to read as follows: F. END USE PRODUCT FORMULATIONS FOR USE ON HUMANS OF DEET (N, N-DIE- THYL-M-TOLUAMIDE) WITH CONCENTRATIONS OF DEET WHICH ARE GREATER THAN THIRTY PERCENT, EXCEPT CONTROLLED-RELEASE FORMULATIONS (FORMULATIONS WHICH CONTAIN ONE OR MORE INGREDIENTS INTENDED TO REGULATE THE RATE OF RELEASE OF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS) WHICH ARE GREATER THAN THIRTY-THREE AND THIRTY-THREE HUNDREDTHS PERCENT OR MORE OF DEET ACTIVE INGREDIENTS. S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after it shall have become a law; provided, however, that any rule or regu- lation necessary for the timely implementation of this act on its effec- tive date may be promulgated on or before such date.
