LENTOL, V. LOPEZ -- read once and referred to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT requiring the office of parks, recreation and historic preserva- tion to take a parcel of land through the eminent domain procedure THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The legislature hereby finds that it is necessary for a public purpose to procure certain property within the city of New York. To that extent, the commissioner of the office of parks, recreation and historic preservation is hereby directed to take, through the use of the eminent domain procedure as established under the eminent domain proce- dure law, the parcel located between North 12th Street and North 14th Street and between the East River Waterfront and Kent Street, commonly known as 1 North 12th Street, Brooklyn. Such parcel is designated on the tax maps of such borough as block 2277, lot 1 and constitutes approxi- mately 8.4 acres. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
