AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to  furnishing  costs
  of drugs to consumers

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 3333 of the public health law is amended by  adding
a new subdivision 6 to read as follows:
  6.  EVERY  PHARMACY OPERATED BY A LICENSED PHARMACIST SHALL FURNISH TO
THE COMMISSIONER AT A TIME AND PLACE TO BE DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSION-
ER, BUT IN NO EVENT LESS THAN ONCE A WEEK, A LIST OF PRESCRIPTION  DRUGS
AS  DEFINED  IN  SECTION  SIXTY-EIGHT  HUNDRED  TWO OF THE EDUCATION LAW
TOGETHER WITH THEIR CURRENT SELLING PRICE. THE COMMISSIONER SHALL ESTAB-
LISH A TOLL-FREE TELEPHONE NUMBER AND A WEBSITE WHERE  THE  CONTENTS  OF
SUCH LIST SHALL BE AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
