BILL NUMBER:S8226 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend a chapter of the laws of 2010, amending the banking law relating to licensed lenders, licensed cashers of checks, sales finance companies, premium finance companies, budget planners and transmitters of money, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S.3727-B and A.11325, in relation to the effectiveness thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF THE BILL: Changes the effective date of S.3727B/A.11325 from immediately to 180 days. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 changes the effective date of S.3727B and A.11325. JUSTIFICATION: As S.3727B/A.11325 is a Governor's Program bill and wishes to remain as such, this 3 way agreed upon bill is therefore necessary. FOLEY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Rules AN ACT to amend a chapter of the laws of 2010, amending the banking law relating to licensed lenders, licensed cashers of checks, sales finance companies, premium finance companies, budget planners and transmitters of money, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3727-B and A. 11325, in relation to the effectiveness thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 45 of a chapter of the laws of 2010, amending the banking law relating to licensed lenders, licensed cashers of checks, sales finance companies, premium finance companies, budget planners and transmitters of money, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S. 3727-B and A. 11325, is amended to read as follows: S 45. This act shall take effect [immediately] ON THE ONE HUNDRED EIGHTIETH DAY AFTER IT SHALL HAVE BECOME A LAW. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09629-13-0
