S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 10069 I N A S S E M B L Y May 2, 2012 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. ZEBROWSKI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to authorize the commissioner of general services to transfer and convey certain land to the Thiells-Roseville fire district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subject to provisions of this act but notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, the commissioner of general services is hereby authorized to transfer and convey to the Thiells- Roseville Fire District in consideration of one dollar and upon such other conditions as the commissioner may deem proper, approximately 1.2 acres of that land that were part of the former Letchworth Village Hospital and is owned by the Office of People with Developmental Disa- bilities. S 2. The lands authorized by this act to be transferred and conveyed are as follows: ALL that certain piece or parcel of land, situate in the Hamlet of Thiells, in the Town of Haverstraw, County of Rockland, State of New York, being more particularly bound and described as follows: The parcel is approximately 1.2 acres and lies on the southeasterly corner of that land known and described as Section 19.16 Block 1 and part of lot 14 on the Town of Haverstraw Tax Map. The parcel is described as follows: running approximately from a "rebar set" in the southeasterly corner of the aforementioned property running in southwes- terly direction approximately 185 feet running thence in a northwesterly direction approximately 289 feet running thence in a northeasterly direction 185.07 feet and running thence in a northeasterly direction 289.62 feet to the point or place of the beginning. S 3. The description in section two of this act of the land to be conveyed is not intended to be a legal description but is intended to identify the parcel to be conveyed. As a condition of the purchase, the Thiells-Roseville Fire District shall submit to the commissioner of general services, for his or her approval, an accurate survey and EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
