ENGLEBRIGHT -- read once and referred to the Committee on Labor AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to exempting work performed under the Older American Community Service Employment Program from the definition of employment for the purposes of unemployment insurance THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 511 of the labor law is amended by adding a new subdivision 23 to read as follows: 23. OLDER AMERICAN COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM. THE TERM "EMPLOYMENT" SHALL NOT INCLUDE WORK PERFORMED BY AN INDIVIDUAL PARTIC- IPATING IN THE OLDER AMERICAN COMMUNITY SERVICE EMPLOYMENT PROGRAM. S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD08810-01-1
