WEPRIN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to amend the abandoned property law, in relation to notice requirements for unclaimed property THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 601 of the abandoned property law is amended by adding a new paragraph (d) to read as follows: (D) A PHONE NUMBER OF THE AGENCY, AUTHORITY, DEPARTMENT, DIVISION OR OFFICE LISTING SUCH UNCLAIMED OR ABANDONED PROPERTY. SUCH PHONE NUMBER SHALL BE LISTED CONSPICUOUSLY, IN A FONT SIZE LARGER THAN THAT OF ANY NAMES LISTED. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD14600-02-2
