BILL NUMBER:S3648 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the real property tax law, in relation to increasing the maximum term for installment agreements for payment of delinquent taxes in the county of Rockland to thirty-six months; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: Extends the payment terms of delinquent taxes in Rockland County to thirty-six months. SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC PROVISIONS: Section 1 amends paragraph (a) of subdivision 3 of section 1184 of the real property tax law to extend the maximum term of installment agreements to thirty-six months. CARLUCCI -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation to increasing the maximum term for installment agreements for payment of delinquent taxes in the county of Rockland to thirty-six months; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon the expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subdivision 3 of section 1184 of the real property tax law, as amended by chapter 532 of the laws of 1994, is amended to read as follows: (a) the maximum term of installment agreements, which shall not exceed [twenty-four] THIRTY-SIX months; S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire December 31, 2012 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD03883-01-1
