BILL NUMBER:S365 TITLE OF BILL: An act authorizing the commissioner of general services to sell and convey certain land in the county of Kings, borough of Brooklyn, city of New York PURPOSE OF BILL: This bill authorizes the Commissioner of General services to sell and convey a building shell currently owned by OCFS in a manner that utilizes available federal funds and makes a beneficial community use feasible. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 authorizes OGS to convey the property to CNR Senior Housing Development Fund Corporation. Section 2 describes the land. Section 3 explains that the description in Sec. 2 is not a legal description, and that an accurate survey is required to effectuate the sale. Section 4 lays out additional timeliness requirements. MONTGOMERY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Local Government AN ACT authorizing the commissioner of general services to sell and convey certain land in the county of Kings, borough of Brooklyn, city of New York THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the commission- er of general services, upon the consent of the commissioner of the office of children and family services, is authorized to sell and convey to CNR Senior Housing Development Fund Corporation for the purpose of a community center or housing for the elderly and disabled certain state lands described in section two of this act. Conveyance of said land is to be made at such time and upon terms and conditions, including consid- eration, as the commissioner of general services may fix and determine including a right of reverter to the state of said land in the event the land ceases to be used for a community center or housing for the elderly and disabled. Conveyance of said land shall also be subject to covenants and restrictions of record. S 2. The land to be conveyed pursuant to this act is generally described as follows: ALL that piece or parcel of land together with improvements thereon situate, lying and being in the Borough of Brooklyn, City and State of New York, designated on the Tax Map of the City of New York, for the Borough of Brooklyn as said Tax Map was on November 15, 1985, Block 2015, Lot 28, also known as 1024 Fulton Street. S 3. The description in section two of this act of the lands to be conveyed is not intended to be a legal description, but is intended only to identify the premises to be conveyed.
