ZEBROWSKI -- read once and referred to the Committee on Environmental Conservation AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to the development of a model pesticide policy THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 33-0303 of the environmental conservation law is amended by adding a new subdivision 8 to read as follows: 8. THE COMMISSIONER, IN CONSULTATION WITH THE COMMISSIONER OF EDUCA- TION AND THE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH, SHALL DEVELOP A MODEL PESTICIDE POLICY. SUCH POLICY SHALL INCLUDE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR PHYSICAL, BIOLOG- ICAL AND MECHANICAL CONTROL METHODS AS WELL AS INTEGRATED PEST MANAGE- MENT TECHNIQUES. S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted.
