BUTLER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT relating to permitting the continued use of certain outdoor advertising signs THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 88 of the highway law, or any regulations adopted pursuant to such law, an outdoor adver- tising sign shall be allowed to continue to exist if such sign: (i) was lawfully in existence prior to September 1, 1965; (ii) is located in Montgomery county and is visible from the New York State Thruway; and (iii) was damaged by bad weather and rebuilt prior to January 1, 2007. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD13066-01-1
