SCHIMEL -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Local Governments AN ACT in relation to authorizing the village of Sands Point in the county of Nassau to establish a second acting village justice THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 3-301 of the village law, the village of Sands Point, in the county of Nassau, is hereby authorized to adopt a local law or resolution, subject to permissive referendum, to establish a second acting village justice, who shall be appointed and whose duties shall be determined pursuant to paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 3-301 of the village law. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD13005-01-3
