BILL NUMBER:S335 TITLE OF BILL: REVISED 12/10/12 An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to dividing the one hundred fifth and one hundred ninth precincts of the New York city police department into subdivisions PURPOSE OR GENERAL IDEA OF BILL: The legislation will amend the applicable Administrative Code sections concerning the "fixing of boundaries of precincts" as set forth in §14-129, as this section relates to the 105th and 109th NYPD Precincts in the borough of Queens. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill amends §14-129 of the administrative code of the city of New York by adding a new section c that will divide the 105th precinct into two separate subdivisions, one representing the northern portion of the precinct and one representing the southern portion of the precinct. Section 2 amends §14-129 of the administrative code of the city of New York by adding a new section d that will divide the 109th precinct

AVELLA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to dividing the one hundred fifth and one hundred ninth precincts of the New York city police department into subdivisions THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 14-129 of the administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding two new subdivisions c and d to read as follows: C. THE ONE HUNDRED FIFTH PRECINCT SHALL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO SEPARATE SUBDIVISIONS, ONE SUBDIVISION REPRESENTING THE NORTHERN PORTION OF SUCH PRECINCT AND ONE SUBDIVISION REPRESENTING THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF SUCH PRECINCT. ALL CORRESPONDING BOUNDARIES SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSIONER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT, WHEREUPON, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ALLOCATE SUCH RESOURCES NECESSARY TO ESTABLISH AND SUPPORT BOTH PRECINCT SUBDIVISIONS. D. THE ONE HUNDRED NINTH PRECINCT SHALL BE DIVIDED INTO TWO SEPARATE SUBDIVISIONS, ONE SUBDIVISION REPRESENTING "FLUSHING SOUTH", AND THE OTHER REPRESENTING THE "NORTH SHORE - COLLEGE POINT, WHITESTONE, CLEAR- VIEW AND BAY TERRACE". ALL CORRESPONDING BOUNDARIES SHALL BE DETERMINED BY THE COMMISSIONER, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REGULATIONS OF THE DEPART- MENT, WHEREUPON, THE DEPARTMENT SHALL ALLOCATE SUCH RESOURCES NECESSARY TO ESTABLISH AND SUPPORT BOTH PRECINCT SUBDIVISIONS. S 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after it shall have become a law.
