BILL NUMBER:S5326 PURPOSE: This legislation would repeal chapter 1 of the laws of 2013 with the exception of sections 33 through 36. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1. Sections 1 through 32, 37 through 43, 45 through 56 of chapter 1 of the laws of 2013 are repealed. Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall be deemed to have been in full force and effect on and after January 15, 2013. JUSTIFICATION: This legislation would repeal chapter 1 of the laws of 2013 with the exception of provision that mandates life without parole for the murder of emergency personnel. GOLDEN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Cities AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to terminal leave THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 9-132 to read as follows: S 9-132 TERMINAL LEAVE. NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS OF ANY GENERAL, SPECIAL OR LOCAL LAW, CODE, RESOLUTION OR CHARTER TO THE CONTRARY, UNIFORMED PERSONNEL OF THE NEW YORK CITY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTION SHALL BE AFFORDED THE OPTION OF TAKING A MONETARY PAYMENT IN LIEU OF TERMINAL LEAVE AT THE RATE APPLICABLE ON THE DATE OF RETIREMENT. S 2. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended by adding a new section 16-141 to read as follows: S 16-141 TERMINAL LEAVE. BILL NUMBER:S5326A TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the administrative code of the city of New York, in relation to terminal leave PURPOSE: To provide uniformed members of the NYC Department of Correction and the NYC Department of Sanitation the option of taking a monetary payment in lieu of terminal leave SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section one amends the administrative code of the City of New York through the addition of a new section 9-134 which relates to the terminal leave of uniformed personnel in the NYC Department of Correction. Section two amends the administrative code of the City of New York through the addition of a new section 16-141 which relates to the terminal leave of uniformed personnel in the NYC Department of Sanitation.
