BILL NUMBER:S7190 TITLE OF BILL: An act in relation to approving additional building aid for the Southampton school district PURPOSE: This legislation approves additional building aid for the Southampton School District for the 2014-15 school year and thereafter, upon voter approval of the dissolution and annexation of the Tuckahoe Common School District into the Southampton School District. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1. Provides that upon the voter approval of the dissolution and annexation of the Tuckahoe Common School District into the Southampton School District, the successor school district (Southampton) shall be eligible for an additional apportionment of building aid for approved expenditures pursuant to subdivision 6 of Section 3602 of the Education Law for projects approved by the Commissioner of Education prior to July 1, 2015. Such additional apportionment shall equal the product of the approved expenditures multiplied by ten hundredths (0.10). Section 2. Effective Immediately.

THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT in relation to approving additional building aid for the South- ampton school district THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, for building aid payable in the 2014-15 school year and thereafter, upon voter approval of the dissolution and annexation of the Tuckahoe common school district into the Southampton school district in Suffolk county, such school districts or successor school district shall be eligible for an additional apportionment of building aid for approved expenditures pursuant to subdivision 6 of section 3602 of the education law for projects approved by the commissioner of education prior to July 1, 2015. Such additional apportionment shall equal the product of the approved expenditures multiplied by ten hundredths (0.10). S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
