AN ACT to authorize the diminishment of beach erosion control districts
in the town of Southampton, county of Suffolk
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. (a) Whenever the town board of the town of Southampton,
Suffolk county, shall determine it to be in the public interest, said
town board may, upon its own motion and without a petition, but after a
public hearing, adopt a resolution to diminish the Sagaponack Beach
Erosion Control District by deleting therefrom the lots which are encum-
bered by a conservation easement pursuant to section 247 of the general
municipal law or article 49 of the environmental conservation law grant-
ed prior to the establishment of such district.
(b) The lands authorized to be deleted from the Sagaponack Beach
Erosion Control District is described as follows:
ALL that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and
being in the Village of Sagaponack, in the Town of Southampton, County
of Suffolk, and State of New York, known and designated as Lot 7 as
shown on Subdivision Map of John C. White Farm and filed in the Suffolk
County Clerk's Office on 6/21/2000 as Map No. 10454, bounded and
described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point on the easterly side of Sagaponack Main Street
distant 499.17 feet northerly as measured along the easterly side of

Sagaponack Main Street from the extreme northerly end of the arc of
curve connecting the easterly side of Sagaponack Main Street and the
northerly side of Sandune Court;
THENCE North 26 degrees 17 minutes 35 seconds East along the easterly
side of Sagaponack Main Street 89.59 feet to a point;
THENCE North 89 degrees 32 minutes 45 seconds East 358.31 feet to a
point;
THENCE South 00 degrees 27 minutes 15 seconds East 161.02 feet to a
point;
THENCE North 89 degrees 30 minutes 15 seconds East 338.21 feet to a
point;
THENCE North 65 degrees 01 minutes 19 seconds East 770.04 feet to the
westerly side of Trees Lane;
THENCE South 26 degrees 52 minutes 46 seconds East along the westerly
side of Trees Lane and land now or formerly of Brant 998.90 feet to the
Atlantic Ocean;
THENCE along the Atlantic Ocean the following 6 courses and distances:
1. South 56 degrees 33 minutes 16 seconds West 199.07 feet to a point;
2. South 65 degrees 53 minutes 32 seconds West 188.31 feet to a point;
3. South 59 degrees 55 minutes 37 seconds West 180.76 feet to a point;
4. South 63 degrees 00 minutes 53 seconds West 208.30 feet to a point;
5. South 61 degrees 51 minutes 27 seconds West 192.48 feet to a point;
6. South 65 degrees 43 minutes 45 seconds West 99.95 feet to a point;
THENCE North 14 degrees 20 minutes 42 seconds West 1020.87 feet to a
point;
THENCE South 89 degrees 30 minutes 15 seconds West 373.42 feet to a
point;
THENCE North 00 degree 27 minutes 15 seconds West 161.07 feet to a
point;
THENCE South 89 degrees 32 minutes 45 seconds West 318.63 feet to the
easterly side of Sagaponack Main Street, the point or place of BEGIN-
NING, also identified as Suffolk County Tax Map #0908-8-2-41.
S 2. (a) Whenever the town board of the town of Southampton, Suffolk
county, shall determine it to be in the public interest, said town board
may, upon its own motion and without a petition, but after a public
hearing, adopt a resolution to diminish the Bridgehampton Beach Erosion
Control District by deleting therefrom the lots which are encumbered by
a conservation easement pursuant to section 247 of the general municipal
law or article 49 of the environmental conservation law granted prior to
the establishment of such district.
(b) The lands authorized to be deleted from the Bridgehampton Beach
Erosion Control District is described as follows:
All that certain plot, piece or parcel of land, situate, lying and
being in the Town of Southampton, County of Suffolk and State of New
York, being bounded and described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point, at the North-East corner of Lot No. 65, Section
Two, subdivision map of Sagg Bridgehampton Corporation, filed October
16, 1967, as filled map No. 4970.
THENCE from the point or place of beginning, along the Southerly side
of Mid Ocean Drive, the following four courses and distances;
(1) N 46-19-50 E, 66.79 feet to a point;
(2) Along a curve to the right with a radius of 423.69 feet; a
distance of 338.53 feet to a point
(3) S 87-53-25 E, 353.35 feet to a point;

(4) Along a curve to the right with a radius of 35.03 feet; a distance
of 59.66 feet to a point on the Westerly side of Ocean Avenue (also
known as Atlantic Avenue)
THENCE along the Westerly side of Ocean Road, S 09-41-40 W 824.39 feet
to the average High Water Line of the Atlantic.
THENCE along the average High Water Line of the Atlantic Ocean,
following four courses and distances;
(1) S 66-43-55 W, 128.41 feet
(2) S 73-19-14 W, 110.86 feet
(3) S 75-03-33 W, 132.92 feet
(4) S 79-31-15 W, 145.17 feet to the Easterly side of Lot. No 64
Section Two, subdivision map of Sagg Bridgehampton Corporation;
THENCE along Lot No. 64, N 16-04-20 W, 456.91 feet to a point at Lot
No. 65;
THENCE along Lot No. 65, the following two courses and distances;
(1) N 74-14-20 E, 130.00 feet to a point
(2) N 16-04-20 W, 387.48 feet to the point or place of beginning.
Comprising an area of 13.3702 acres by survey of William G. Lowe,
dated January 18, 1986, also identified as Suffolk County Tax Map
#0900-134-4-17.1.
S 3. The resolutions authorized to be adopted by the town of Southamp-
ton pursuant to this act shall include a description of the special
elections held on February 2, 2013 that authorized an increase in the
maximum amount to be expended within such beach erosion control
districts and a description of all public notices, letters and any other
such notification of such elections, public hearings or other opportu-
nities for public review that advised eligible voters of such districts
of an estimated allocation of costs for such increased amount to be
expended and advised eligible voters of such districts that the increase
in the maximum amount to be expended reflected the contemplated exclu-
sion of the lots encumbered by a conservation easement described in this
act.
S 4. This act shall take effect immediately.
