S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7853 2013-2014 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y June 6, 2013 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. WEPRIN -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Employees AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to enacting the "state workforce injury reduction act" THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. This act shall be known and may be cited as the "state workforce injury reduction act". S 2. Section 7 of the civil service law is amended by adding a new subdivision 7 to read as follows: 7. EACH STATE AGENCY REFERENCED IN THE ANNUAL REPORT ISSUED BY THE PRESIDENT PURSUANT TO SUBDIVISION SIX OF THIS SECTION SHALL WITHIN THIR- TY DAYS AFTER RECEIPT OF SUCH REPORT SUBMIT TO THE GOVERNOR, THE TEMPO- RARY PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE AND THE SPEAKER OF THE ASSEMBLY A WRITTEN ACTION PLAN FOR REDUCING OCCURRENCES OF SUCH INJURIES IN THE COMING YEAR. STATE AGENCIES WILL PROVIDE FOR EMPLOYEE PARTICIPATION THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED EMPLOYEE REPRESENTATIVE WHEN PREPARING AND IMPLEMENTING SUCH WRITTEN ACTION PLANS. S 3.
