AN ACT to grant Julius  Diamond  eligibility  for  senior  citizen  rent
  increase exemption at his previously frozen rent amount

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, Juli-
us Diamond, an individual who has been receiving a senior  citizen  rent
increase  exemption since 1996, who for a period of one month, June, two
thousand fourteen, was ineligible for a  senior  citizen  rent  increase
exemption  due  to  an  increase  in  his  annual income, and who now is
currently receiving a  senior  citizen  rent  increase  exemption  at  a
significantly  higher  rent  rate,  shall be deemed entitled to a senior
citizen rent increase exemption at his rent  rate  prior  to  June,  two
thousand  fourteen.  Further,  Julius Diamond's landlord, Pickman Realty
Group, shall be entitled to a reimbursement for the  rent  arrears  that
are  currently owed to the landlord due to Julius Diamond's inability to
pay.
  S 2. All costs associated with the implementation of this act shall be
borne by the New York city department of finance.
  S 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
