AN  ACT  to  amend the education law, in relation to the gap elimination
  adjustment

  THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND  ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section  1.    Subdivision  17 of section 3602 of the education law is
amended by adding a new paragraph i to read as follows:
  I. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY OTHER LAW TO THE CONTRARY, THE GAP  ELIMINATION
ADJUSTMENT  FOR  THE TWO THOUSAND SIXTEEN--TWO THOUSAND SEVENTEEN SCHOOL
YEAR SHALL EQUAL ZERO.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
