AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic  law,  in  relation  to  special
  hauling permits for vehicle combinations

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 385 of the vehicle and traffic law  is  amended  by
adding a new subdivision 15-b to read as follows:
  15-B. NOTWITHSTANDING ANY LAW, RULE OR REGULATION TO THE CONTRARY, ANY
PERMIT  ISSUED  PURSUANT  TO SUBDIVISION FIFTEEN OF THIS SECTION FOR THE
OPERATION OR MOVEMENT OF A VEHICLE  SHALL  AUTOMATICALLY  BE  DEEMED  TO
AUTHORIZE  THE OPERATION OF SUCH VEHICLE IN CONJUNCTION WITH OTHER VEHI-
CLES OR ANY COMBINATION OF OTHER VEHICLES SO AUTHORIZED.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
