TITONE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Education AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to rescheduling regents examinations THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 305 of the education law is amended by adding a new subdivision 53 to read as follows: 53. THE COMMISSIONER SHALL RESCHEDULE, WITHIN TWENTY BUSINESS DAYS, ANY REGENTS EXAMINATION THAT WAS CANCELLED FOR ANY REASON. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD01101-01-5
