LALOR -- read once and referred to the Committee on Local Governments AN ACT to prohibit municipalities from issuing government identification cards to illegal aliens THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contra- ry, no municipalities, including any county, city, town or village, shall issue any form of government identification card to any person who is not legally present in the United States. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD00779-01-5
