BARCLAY, BLAKE, DiPIETRO, GALEF, McKEVITT, WALTER -- read once and referred to the Committee on Codes AN ACT to exempt military re-enactors from the provisions of chapter 1 of the laws of 2013 THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding any law, rule or regulation to the contra- ry, military re-enactors who are not residents of the state of New York and who bring weapons into the state of New York for the sole purpose of using such weapons in the course of staging military battle re-enact- ments shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter 1 of the laws of 2013. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD09074-01-5
