FINCH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Judiciary AN ACT to amend the domestic relations law, in relation to requiring a custodial parent who lives with a sex offender to provide that infor- mation to a non-custodial parent THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The domestic relations law is amended by adding a new section 240-d to read as follows: S 240-D. REQUIRED INFORMATION A CUSTODIAL PARENT MUST DISCLOSE TO A NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT. IF A CUSTODIAL PARENT LIVES WITH A SEX OFFENDER, SUCH PARENT SHALL BE REQUIRED TO DISCLOSE THAT INFORMATION TO THE NON-CUSTODIAL PARENT. S 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD10531-01-5
