AN ACT to amend the public service law, in  relation  to  directing  the
  public  service  commission  to establish and implement a plan to make
  the state solely reliant on renewable sources of energy by January  1,
  2050

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. Section 5 of the public service law is amended by adding  a
new subdivision 7 to read as follows:
  7.  THE  COMMISSION  SHALL  DEVELOP  AND  IMPLEMENT A PLAN WHEREBY ALL
SOURCES OF ENERGY GENERATION IN THIS STATE SHALL BE RENEWABLE SOURCES ON
OR BEFORE JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND FIFTY.
  S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
