BILL NUMBER:S1917 TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend part R2 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the mental hygiene law and the state finance law relating to the community mental health support and workforce reinvestment program and the membership of subcommittees for mental health of community service boards and the duties of such subcommittees and creating the community health and workforce reinvestment account, in relation to the effective date thereof PURPOSE: To extend New York State's Community Mental Health Workforce Reinvestment Program and the community health workforce reinvestment account until March 31, 2020. SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Section 1 of the bill amends section 7 of part R2 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003 to extend until March 31, 2020, those provisions of law which provide for community mental health reinvestment. Section 2 of the bill provides for an immediate effective date.

PARKER -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Mental Health and Develop- mental Disabilities AN ACT to amend part R2 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the mental hygiene law and the state finance law relating to the community mental health support and workforce reinvestment program and the membership of subcommittees for mental health of community service boards and the duties of such subcommittees and creating the community health and workforce reinvestment account, in relation to the effec- tive date thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Section 7 of part R2 of chapter 62 of the laws of 2003, amending the mental hygiene law and the state finance law relating to the community mental health support and workforce reinvestment program and the membership of subcommittees for mental health of community service boards and the duties of such subcommittees and creating the community mental health and workforce reinvestment account, as amended by section 3 of part G of chapter 60 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows: S 7. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire March 31, 2018 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed; PROVIDED HOWEVER, THAT SECTIONS TWO AND SIX OF THIS ACT SHALL EXPIRE MARCH 31, 2022 WHEN UPON SUCH DATE THE PROVISIONS OF SUCH SECTIONS SHALL BE DEEMED REPEALED.
